Nasal Breathing 

Flowly experiences guide you through nasal breathing to increase oxygen delivered to tissues and organs to facilitate sound sleep. This is paired with a unique breathing guide calibrated for your body.

Every Flowly session includes your real-time Heart Rate graph onscreen. Each experience will guide you to increase your Heart Rate Variability and optimize Heart Rate to activate your parasympathetic “rest-and-recovery” mode.

Flowly includes different environments designed for optimal relaxation. Every environment is designed by DreamWorks artists and tested by clinicians at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Parasympathetic System

Autonomic regulation is key to high quality sleep. During sound sleep, your parasympathetic system dominates such that your body is able to recover and enter restorative sleep. Flowly’s biofeedback training guides you towards activating your parasympathetic system.

Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

This is a key metric for providing information on autonomic functioning. Flowly teaches an individual to increase HRV which can prime an individual’s nervous system for restorative sleep.

Paced Breathing

Studies show insomniacs have a potential for decreased vagal activity and autonomic dysfunction. Flowly’s paced breathing guides enhance vagal activity which can lead to improved sleep quality.
